Fox News: Ryan's speech "deceiving"

It's spelled correctly- I suggest talking off your commie colored glasses.

They are making you delusional.

Real compassion does not come to people through forced taxes confiscated by governments- it comes from private individuals with willingness and the resources to help.

Anyone else find it ironic so many people who value free enterprise and individual responsibility blame government for all their problems?

Isn't it ironic that it's the liberals who complain about free enterprise and individual responsibility - as if it's evil?

Anyone else find it ironic so many people who value free enterprise and individual responsibility blame government for all their problems?

Why place forward such a statement unless you are opposed to such values?

You liberals are so brainwashed that you can't see that what you call "compassion" is destroying this country, and not only that- you have all been duped by government.

After all the social welfare programs for the last 60 years- why is it that the problem keeps getting worse with every dollar we throw at it?

You would think that after all the billions we have dumped after the cause- that it wouldn't be a problem anymore.

What you don't get is that the government uses these programs as a way of controlling people- first stealing the money that producers earn- then keeping the poor in a hopeless situation - like a drug dealer getting his victims addicted to crack- by promoting the perpetual welfare system.

Obama is truely the food stamp president- I bet he would like to keep them that way too.

Conservatives don't blame the government for THEIR problems as you assert- not me anyway. I'm doing quite fine even in these tough times. But we do blame the government for the widespread problems in society today, because government IS responsible for them.

When times were good- I didn't get into too much debt. When times were good- I didn't buy more house than I could afford. I saved money so I wouldn't have to live month to month, so I don't have any complaints about the banks- or credit card companies.

I learned to live below my means- so if somthing happens to my employment, it will take a very long time until I'm out on the street- it's called being responsible for one's self.

If I could do it- so can the vast majority of other people- they just didn't do it. Now people like you demand that the responsible producers need to pay more for the losers- so they can keep being losers. It's time people took responsibility for themselves again, like we all did before the modern day welfare state.

A conservative arguing that compassion for our fellow man is bad.

Priceless.
