on that note wrote: I feel like role models should be people that play roles that are achievable. The position of first lady does not qualify for a number of reasons, regardless of who is in the role. First of the children today only a few have a chance of being first lady, second being the wife of someone who does something is not an accomplishment in itself.
Several reviews of the book from mothers:
"This book teaches little girls that their dreams, goals, and ambitions are endless. Mommies are not only pretty, they can do many things and their smart too. It speaks to the african american girl in volumes because they can relate to her beginnings (before she was the First Lady), so easily. Everytime we read it, my daughter Taylor ask me different questions about The First Ladies many accomplishments."
"I love any book that celebrates the positives of my African American History. Michelle Obama is a fantastic first lady and this book would be great for several reasons. One African Girls need to see more picture of successful female role models and it's just great for anyone to have an intimate look into the lives of those that serve us. "
