Did you forget about "Unaffiliated" voters when doing your "80% Republican" fuzzy math?
I notice in Park County for instance, there are 3,900 Republicans and 1,800 Democrats, but 2,700 unaffiliated.
In Jeffco, it's 98,000 Republicans, 83,000 Democrats and 86,000 unaffiliated. Even in very conservative Douglas County it's 74,000 Republicans, 29,000 Democrats and 43,000 unaffiliated.
For the life of me, I can't find a Colorado county that's 80% Republican. In many counties the unaffiliated outnumber the next highest party.
