If any party has a record of restricting our freedoms it's not the Republicans. All citizens are free to believe what ever they what, that's how we end up with protests like this one:

Really? Apparently there is nothing in recent times to support your message so you go back into the archives. Nice try.......talking about today....as I thought you were in your posts....it is the conservatives that aim to restrict freedoms for women and gays that the Democrats are fighting to preserve. Perhaps you don't think of them as citizens that deserve equal rights, but I do, and liberals do. When the conservatives stop trying to limit the rights of some of our citizens, I'll retract my statement.

I not only read what I type, I believe it........but thanks for the lame attempt at a put down. Once again, conservatives acting like the only thoughts and beliefs allowed in this country are their own. Want to get into women's rights? or gay rights? or do you think, like many other conservatives, that they are second class citizens? When the Republican party platform contains language that removes a woman's right to have an abortion in the case of rape, incest, or threat to her life......a choice that should only be between a woman and her doctor, then they are not for equality or for freedom. When the far right attempts to make marriage between two people illegal because they are the same gender, they are not for equality or freedom.

hmmmm......so taking a conservative at his or her word, i.e. believing what has been placed in the Republican platform, is projecting? I didn't make up their platform, I just assumed they meant what they said. My mistake, so I shouldn't believe what conservatives tell us they want and believe. This is sooooo confusing.
