Ryan: I Didn’t Vote For The Defense Cuts I Voted For

Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan has gotten in hot water before for criticizing President Obama for the very same defense cuts that he voted for in 2011. When confronted with this incongruity today on Face The Nation, Ryan simply denied that he ever voted for the cuts, telling an incredulous Norah O’Donnell that he didn’t actually vote for the cuts he’s on record as voting for.

Kind of hard to get away with lying about your voting record. But that doesn't stop Paul Ryan from trying.

Paul Ryan voted for that bill. Period. That bill is what has led us to this point and it wouldn’t have happened if conservatives were willing to negotiate in good faith and look at raising taxes on the rich. If they would – defense companies wouldn’t be worrying about cutting back.

Yes, Paul Ryan should have just voted "present" like Obama did in his Senate career. Easier to get elected when you don't have a record and your buddies in the press won't call you on the votes you did make.
