So since we can't police free speech, what do we do when someone across the ocean gets offended by someone who posts something on Youtube?archer wrote: No, we can't stop people from exercising their right of free speech, beyond that free speech that endangers the lives of others....like yelling "fire" in a theater or provable slander....but OUR free speech allows us to condemn what we hear, to boycott those who offend us, speak out against hate speech, and make those with no moral compass feel our outrage.

http://www.debbieschlussel.com/54276/sa ... m-attacks/Earlier today, I told you that I suspected that man behind the movie used as an excuse for Muslim violence and murder against Americans in Libya and Egypt was a fake and an agent provocateur. And now there is more and more evidence that I was right. This alleged “Israeli Jew”–who at the same time is also allegedly a “Coptic Christian”–was a fake, a liar, and probably a plant designed to spur some predictable Muslim violence against America (violence that happens on the part of Muslims every single day without an alleged fake movie plot).
He’s the guy the Wall Street Journal claims made the movie. The Journal claimed it talked to Bacile, that he’s an Israeli, and that 100 Jews bankrolled his “The Innocence of Muslims” flick, to the tune of $5 million. I speak Hebrew, have lots of Israeli family, and my first impression was that Bacile is not an Israeli last name and that only a moron–-or, more likely, a Jew-hater seeking to incite anti-Semitism–-would say, “Hey, 100 Jews just gave me $5 mill to attack Islam.”
As part of my search for more information about Sam Bacile, the alleged producer of the now-infamous anti-Muhammad film trailer “The Innocence of Muslims,” I just called a man named Steve Klein — a self-described militant Christian activist in Riverside, California (whose actual business, he said, is in selling “hard-to-place home insurance”), who has been described in multiple media accounts as a consultant to the film.
Klein told me that Bacile, the producer of the film, is not Israeli, and most likely not Jewish, as has been reported, and that the name is, in fact, a pseudonym. He said he did not know “Bacile”‘s real name. He said Bacile contacted him because he leads anti-Islam protests outside of mosques and schools, and because, he said, he is a Vietnam veteran and an expert on uncovering al Qaeda cells in California.
“Sam Bacile” is either an agent provocateur or a con artist. Or both. The question is: who paid him to lie and claim 100 Jews gave him $5 million to make an amateurish anti-Islam trailer? And who shared the whole thing with an Egyptian TV commentator so that the whole thing would come to a head in a clearly coordinated attack on U.S. Embassies in Egypt and Libya on the 11th anniversary of 9/11?

The cast and crew of the anti-Muslim film that led to violence in Libya were misled.
A statement released on the behalf of the 80 cast and crew members of “Innocence of Muslims,” a film that reportedly prompted Tuesday protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, indicates that they are not happy with the film and were misled by the producer.
“The entire cast and crew are extremely upset and feel taken advantage of by the producer. We are 100% not behind this film and were grossly misled about its intent and purpose,” the statement says. “We are shocked by the drastic re-writes of the script and lies that were told to all involved. We are deeply saddened by the tragedies that have occurred.”
Actress Cindy Lee Garcia says of the director, “I’m going to sue his butt off.”

Though Bacile is a mystery, we do know a bit more about Steve Klein, who told the Associated Press on Wednesday that he was a "consultant" on Bacile's film. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the former Marine was part of the controversial California "Church at Kawea," near Fresno, and a member of a "secretive cohort of militant fundamentalists" preparing for war against Muslims in spring 2012. He believed that California was riddled with Muslim Brotherhood sleeper cells "who are awaiting the trigger date and will begin randomly killing as many of us as they can."
Klein is currently listed as the "Secretary and Founder" of Courageous Christians United, a group that protests outside of Mormon temples, mosques and abortion clinics. Leah Nelson of the SPLC said Klein founded the group back in 1977. Multiple requests for comment from Courageous Christians United have gone unreturned, but Klein himself spoke with the Atlantic's Goldberg on Wednesday afternoon.
Klein told Goldberg that "Sam Bacile" is not a real name, nor is the man actually Israeli or Jewish. "All these Middle Eastern folks I work with have pseudonyms," Klein said. "I doubt he's Jewish. I would suspect this is a disinformation campaign." Klein also told Goldberg that only 15 people were involved in the making of the film. "They're from Syria, Turkey, Pakistan, they're some that are from Egypt. Some are Copts, but the vast majority are Evangelical."
UPDATE: Gawker interviewed Cindy Lee Garcia, one of the actresses from the film, who is living in Bakersfield, California. She says she was never told that the film was a spoof of Muhammed. The casting notice she had originally received from her agent was titled "Desert Warriors." She said the director called himself "Sam Bacile," and he claimed he was an Israeli real estate mogul. But Garcia said Bacile told her on set that he was actually Egyptian.

The actors who appeared in it had no idea they were starring in anti-Islam propaganda which depicts Muhammed as a child molester and thug. They were deceived by the film's director, believing they were appearing in a film about the life of a generic Egyptian 2,000 years ago.
Cindy Lee Garcia, an actress from Bakersfield, Calif., has a small role in the Muhammed movie as a woman whose young daughter is given to Muhammed to marry. But in a phone interview this afternoon, Garcia told us she had no idea she was participating in an offensive spoof on the life of Muhammed when she answered a casting call through an agency last summer and got the part.
The script she was given was titled simply Desert Warriors.
"It was going to be a film based on how things were 2,000 years ago," Garcia said. "It wasn't based on anything to do with religion, it was just on how things were run in Egypt. There wasn't anything about Muhammed or Muslims or anything."Here's what appears to be the original casting call, posted in July 2011on craigslist:

http://www.businessinsider.com/sam-baci ... ted-2012-9UPDATE: Former Bank Fraudster Admits Role In Anti-Islamic Film That Sparked Protests
The film was reportedly made by Sam Bacile, a writer and filmmaker. In an interview from an undisclosed location on Tuesday, Sam Bacile described himself as a 56-year-old "Israeli Jew" who lives in California. He reportedly made the film with $5 million from 100 Jewish donors.
"Islam is a cancer, period," he told the AP.
Today, reporters have spent much of their day finding holes in Bacile's story. Jeffrey Goldberg of the Atlantic spoke to a "militant Christian activist" who had worked on the film, who said that "Sam Bacile" was likely a pseudonym and "Bacile" was neither Israeli or Jewish.
Gawker has spoken to Cindy Lee Garcia, an actress from the film, who confirms the dubbing took place — and said she had no idea about the anti-Islamic sentiment behind the film.
UPDATE II: It looks like the may AP may have found one real person behind the movie — Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, a 55-year-old Egyptian-born Coptic Christian ex-con living in California.
While Nakoula admits he played a role in the films production, he denies he posed as "Sam Bacile", and said he had only a manager for the company that produced the film. However, AP was able to trace the phone numbers used to contact Bacile to Nakoula's Los Angeles address.
The AP also reports that Nakoula is a convicted criminal who pled guilty to federal bank fraud in 2010. A quick Google turns up some legal documents that appear to confirm that.
http://www.slate.com/blogs/weigel/2012/ ... xist_.htmlWho is Sam Bacile?
The producer doesn't exist.
The actors didn't know what they were making.
Seriously, everything about this movie is a lie. Before he went underground, Bacile claimed that the budget -- from "Israeli donors" -- came to $5 million. None of that money shows up onscreen, which leads me to think that it was yet another Arab-baiting lie. Entertainment Weekly, digging deep, finds that it was screened briefly in L.A.'s Vine theater, one copy dropped off by the mysterious "Sam."
