That's right.
Although I think the effort in the a-stan is worth it. You don't kill 3000+ Americans without the USA stepping on your back for a long long time.
Having said that - we should not ever try to rebuild or occupy a country after we go to war with it. We should leave the place a pile of rocks- and scattered bones.
If these animals regroup- we should bomb them in their natural environment from the air- and keep killing them till they can re-group no longer.
In no case should we spend any money other than for bombs to kill them with. Any natural resources that the land contains should be our rightful property - oil, gold, minerals or gas. That's what used to happen in wars- and we should return to that traditional definition.
