Rick Santorum: 'Smart People' Will Never Be On Our Side (VIDEO)

Rick Santorum, the former presidential candidate, had a message for attendees of the Values Voter Summit on Saturday.

"We will never have the media on our side, ever, in this country," Santorum said, according to BuzzFeed and a video posted by Right Wing Watch, available above. "We will never have the elite, smart people on our side, because they believe they should have the power to tell you what to do."

Well, if the smart ones won't be on [their] side, then I guess that sort of indicates who's left...

But this is interesting: "..they believe they should have the power to tell you what to do." Is that like telling women whether or not they can use birth-control? (He's against it--period.); Whether or not they have the right to terminate a pregnancy? (He's against it--in ALL cases.); who people can marry?; what people can and can't do in their own homes?

Yeah, I don't think I want the dumb people having the power to tell anybody what to do either....

There's a reason why the majority of teachers and professors are liberal, and Santorum laid it out very well.

More proof that :'Smart People' Will Never Be On Our Side":

Perhaps we can convince Sharron Angle to run again too? Surely, the GOTP would get behind them...

We will never have the elite smart people on our side.

Jeez, you think, Rick? er, sorry, I guess by definition, actually no, you and the people you’re talking to don’t, in point of fact, think.

You’ve really got to admire a guy who can call his supporters stupid right their pinched little faces, and they cheer him. But then, well, they’re none too bright, are they? I guess that’s sort of the point Rick was making in the first place.

To think that back in February he led the GOP field with 35% support:
