Here we have a president of the United States- admitting that he is a Socialist. That's as plain as it could be.

Any redistribution of wealth is Socialism. When you take money away from those who earned it- and give it to those who didn't earn it- I don't care what the reasoning is- it's Socialism.

The left thinks this is moral, while Libertarians and free market thinkers know it's immoral. It's immoral for a number of reasons, all of which the left dismiss or just ignore.

This idology destroys initiative for those who earn money, and provide a dis-incentive for those who save, spend and invest. It results in a reduction of economic activity at some level- every time it happens.

This idology also destroys initiative for those who get the free stuff- like Romney said- we created an entitlement society- free food, free housing, free medical care- etc. What motivation is left for those who are on the government dole to provide these things for themselves? It is their responsibility to do so- but government policy breeds a generation of government dependency which never ends.

It's bad policy all the way around. It results in an economy that never reaches it potential, it sinks all ships. It's also immoral. The last 60 years America has experienced ever increasing government entitlement programs, and tied to that- is the decline of a standard of living in what used to be the greatest country in the world.

Socialism sucks.
