American intelligence officials insist that the attack on the Benghazi consulate was not pre-planned, but a new CNN report says that Ambassador Chris Stevens had expressed concerns about the safety of the mission in the months before his death. According to "a source familiar with his thinking," Stevens was worried about the growing threat of al-Qaeda and other extremists in Libya and even mentioned that he was on a terrorist "hit list."

I found this to be a weird article.

They probably interviewed the guy who picks up the trash at the embassy....he read the ambassador's tea leaves.

Funny. About the only person I could say that I am familiar with their thinking is my hubby. Maybe they're ashamed of their source? lol

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

Well, now we know what they meant: Anderson Cooper admits CNN found the ambassador's journal on the floor at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and used parts of it in his show. Thus "a source familiar with his thinking."

Yeah, I heard it was found and returned. No mention of CNN.
