I can just feel the love... I wonder if it might still have something to do with that ploy to call himself a Mass. resident by stating that he "lived in his son's basement", (while declaring himself a primary resident of Utah...for tax purposes)?
Nah, it was probably the slip from 36th to 47th in job creation and adding another $500 Million in new taxes, er, "fees" to the tax-load...

Exactly, I think Romney did not really think far enough ahead when he was running in the primaries. He took a far right position thinking he needed those voters to win in the primaries, but did not look ahead to the general election and understand that those very positions he took could lose him the general election. The moderate Romney might have pulled more independents, and even some disenchanted democrats. Now he is pretty well stuck with the positions he took during the primaries and the liberals are hammering him on them.
This, to me, could be the fatal flaw in the current Republican party.....they have moved themselves much further right than even many Republicans are comfortable with, and rather than working to include more of the American citizens into the party they are chasing them away. I do think there is some buyer's remorse in the 2010 election. The Tea Party convinced the Republican Party and the voters that they would ride into Washington and fix the congressional spending spree and get our budget and debt back on the right track.....instead they made things worse and gridlock is paralyzing this government. I know the conservatives love to blame Obama for all that ails Washington....but really.....give the "new" GOP some credit for really screwing up the works.
