Rove: Obama's Biggest Opponent Is the Truth

When George Stephanopoulos asked Mitt Romney in a Sept. 14 "Good Morning America" interview what he's learned about President Obama as a debater, the former Massachusetts governor replied, "I think he's going to say a lot of things that aren't accurate."

If Mr. Obama's debate performance mirrors his campaign, Mr. Romney's prediction will be dead on. To get a sense of how comprehensive the president's assault on the truth has been, consider some of his false claims in recent speeches and ads.

One Obama spot says, "To pay for huge, new tax breaks for millionaires like him, Romney would have to raise taxes on the middle class: $2,000 for a family with children."

That claim has been thoroughly discredited, including by PolitiFact Virginia and editorials in this newspaper. Mr. Romney, unlike the president, is committed to cutting taxes for everyone, including the middle class.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Mitt Romney tells 533 lies in 30 weeks, Steve Benen documents them

It would appear that RMoney has an even bigger problem... But hearing that statement from Rove is a knee-slapper....

Rachel Maddow Rips Mitt Romney For Lies In Campaign Ads (VIDEO)

SEE VIDEO

Maddow went through a number of campaign ads that included false claims that the Romney campaign did not correct or remove. For instance, Romney's first general election campaign ad included Obama saying, "If we keep talking about the economy, we are going to lose."

In actuality, Obama said that comment on the campaign trail in 2008, and was quoting then-Republican presidential candidate, John McCain. "Sen. McCain's campaign actually said, and I quote, 'If we keep talking about the economy, we are going to lose.'"

Maddow said the discrepancy between what Obama actually said and the way the Romney campaign presented it in its campaign add was pretty severe. "That's a really big, really bad lie," she said.

Despite the blatant inaccuracy, the Romney campaign kept the ad intact and on its YouTube channel.

But, from "oversampled Democrat" polls to lies about "taking the work out of welfare", RMoney and his staff keep repeating the mantra that " “We're not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact-checkers." (Translation: "We don' need no steenkin' facts...")

Looks like Gov Etch-a-Sketch is still just throwing stuff up on the wall to see if it sticks... (Pssst: It doesn't.)

LJ... I work in an arena by which psychology is key to understanding the people I work with in a very quick way.
I am curious as to why you are so driven to respond to EVERYTHING and inundate your neighbors with such repetitive negative posts.
What is driving you to such behavior.
I REALLY want to try and understand this.
