New movie about changing education

Looks like a great movie about schools...looks to be a little along the line of "Waiting for Superman".

Maybe with these 2 movies, those who hate school choice will understand how passionate some of us feel about educating our young people.

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

if you want to improve education, get rid of all the damned learned astronomers with mail-order credentials,
who don't know anything about education or changing lives.

Education will not be improved by bureaucracy. It will not be enhanced by tests, algorithms, quotas, standards, or state-mandated individualized instruction programs.

It will only be improved if determined, stubborn people start insisting that students rise to higher expectations.

I'm not a school choice fan --- it's a neat idea - but in the end, your choice will be between horse-sh!t and bull-sh!t.
( we home schooled).

Does our approach work?
- oldest kid is in the Navy, in the Naval Nuclear program (highest requirements in the US Armed Services).
- second oldest is a 4.0 student after a year in an ABET college engineering program (he's 16).

And yes - our kids are socialized --- they're normal, functional teenagers ........

Mike Rosen is talking about this movie right now. Sounds like teachers are pretty upset with this film.

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.

I'm assuming the movie talks about the lack of accountability and poor performance of some teachers who can't be fired like in every other non-union profession. If this is the case, i hope the movie is very successful.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
