Paul Ryan: 30 Percent 'Want Their Welfare State,' 70 Percent 'Want The American Dream' (VIDEO)

(SEE VIDEO)

WASHINGTON -- Mitt Romney and his running mate, Paul Ryan, share a similarly dim view of a very large portion of Americans, according to previously unreported remarks by Ryan. Both believe that many of their fellow citizens are dependent on government and have no motivation to improve their lives -- but they disagree over the precise number.

Romney's estimate, famously, is 47 percent. For Ryan, it's 30 percent.

"Seventy percent of Americans want the American dream. They believe in the American idea. Only 30 percent want their welfare state," Ryan said. "Before too long, we could become a society where the net majority of Americans are takers, not makers."

Ryan's comments were delivered as part of his keynote address at The American Spectator's 2011 Robert L. Bartley Gala Dinner, which the magazine posted online. A reader tipped HuffPost to Ryan's speech, given in November -- six months before Romney's videotaped remarks.

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," Romney said at a fundraiser in May, first reported by The Huffington Post. "All right -- there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that, that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them. Who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing."

How sweet... "Bird of a feather".... For Gov NumbNuts, it's 47% of the population who are parasites (i.e., "takers", "moochers"...including retirees, elderly, active veterans, people working 2-3 jobs/with families/whose tax-credits put them under the line for filing federal income-tax.) RMoney hates 47% of the electorate and the citizens...

Ryan thinks it's only 30% are "takers" and "moochers". God, I love these Randroids sociopaths...

Refresher course on "Randroid":

Randroid
A follower of Ayn Rand's objectivist philosophy, with emphasis on the more cultic aspects of the movement. Often marked by exclusivist rhetoric, dogmatic individualism, and determinedly narcissistic self-praise.

To a Randroid, being nice, charitable, altruistic and fair is to be a morally reprehensible person and such things are vices.

A hero to them is a selfish man who takes what he wants, does what he wants and cares only about himself.

Yep.. The scum-quotient continues to rise... No wonder they are so far behind in the polls... They're selling garbage that only the teabaggers could love.

No...Rolling the usual GOTP class-warfare plutocratic crap that Mitt-the-Twit/Lyin'-Ryan can't help themselves from putting out.

It's like watching a train-wreck. You just have to smile, sit down and watch...

I put anything Hannity says in the same trashcan with Limbaugh, Beck and the rest of the lunatics.

Here is the "Hannity October Surprise".....This is hysterical... Supposedly "hidden footage"...(In fact, it's been available on the 'Net and on YouTube since 2007, and has been circulated before by the usual sleazy sources like Breitbart, FauxNews, ad nauseum.) It has nothing in it but Obama during a 2007 speech acknowledging and introducing Rev. Jeremiah Wright... Oooo... Another bright-shiny ball rolls across the Hannity/teabagger carpet.

Jeremiah Wright? 2007? Really? rofllol  rofllol

Wow, there is "fertile ground" to try to take America's mind off of the fact that Gov Etch-a-Sketch in an unguarded moment, displayed the contempt that he REALLY feels for 47% of the American people; And Lyin'-Ryan says the same thing about 30% of the American people. And these two elitist, class-warfare Randroids think this b.s is actually going to get any traction with the majority of the electorate who are already showing in the polls that they don't like what he's selling.....? rofllol

Gee, Mittens must REALLY be worried about how he's going to do in the debates. He's already so far behind, the debates were the only thing that might have saved him... And he REALLY thinks pulling 2007/Jeremiah Wright stuff out and rolling it across the carpet is going to change the outcome?

Oh, by the way, early voting started today in Ohio... It starts on 10/22 in Colorado... It starts on 10/29 in Florida... (PA doesn't use it, unless an "excuse" is provided)

Considering all the name calling of Obama over the last 4 years.....I think LJ has a lot of catching up to do. We may only have Romney around for another month.....then he can ride off into the sunset with Ryan at his side..

Watching different videos of Obama is like watching completely different people speak.
Very interesting behavior.

And Grady....name calling for a couple of folks here is a way of life.
