Poll: 86% of Americans - Government Spending no Help to Them

02 Oct 2012 20:03 #1 by otisptoadwater

“On the question of whether federal government spending has improved the overall economy, 74 percent say it has not helped, with 52 percent responding that it has actually hurt the economy,” The Public Notice announced yesterday after questioning 1,005 likely voters. “When asked how federal government spending has impacted personal financial situations, 86 percent of those surveyed say it has not helped, with 35 percent responding that it hurt.”

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

Yes, and 15% of Republicans think Mitt Romney deserved some credit for the Osama bin Laden mission...

I won't even bother to comment on 86% of the population who use the airports, the interstate highway system, eat federally inspected food, drive in autos that were probably saved because of the auto bailout, all those firefighters, police and teachers who didn't lose their jobs, ad nauseum.

But do continue with your teabagger "entitlement" rant... Those 47% of the people Gov NumbNuts/Lyin'-Ryan showed contempt for are waiting breathlessly...All those retirees, seniors, veterans going to the V.A., active-duty military, working families who fall under the poverty line, will be interested in your copy-and-paste diatribe...I'm sure...

D4S and her usual rants.

Don't underestimate the tea party. We are registered and we vote.

ELECTION 2012
AP: 41 million tea partiers set to vote
Poll finds 31% of likely voters consider selves part of movement

The AP/GFK poll shows that 31% of likely voters consider themselves Tea Party supporters. With 131 million votes cast in the 2008 elections, that translates into an incredible voting bloc of 41 million Tea Party supporters waiting to cast ballots. These voters have already made their voices heard in Wisconsin earlier this year, as well as in Republican primaries in Texas and Nebraska...At 19% of likely voters, self-described liberals would have a turnout of 25 million voters, some 16 million fewer voters than the Tea Party.

Yeah, since only 20% of the electorate say they even "approve" of the teabagger's ideas, I don't think I'm going to worry about some article in WorldNutDaily.

The Electoral College projections still show: Obama/332, RMoney/191 (270 to win). The polling slide of the RMoney/Lyin'-Ryan campaign following the "47%" speech, (and now, the Ryan "30%" speech) continue to slide. The billionaires are pulling out, and I'm enjoying watching the slow spiral into the ground.

I won my bet with myself. I googled "Tea Party approval" and found that only 20% think you are rational...Only 9% actually approve of the party. About 20% think you are wrong and don't agree...and approximately 60% think you are either nuts, and/or a major detriment to this country. And it had nothing to do with WorldNutDaily.

You guys blast every article from HuffPo, whether it's from AP, Bloomberg, NYTimes, Conservative Nation, or anything else... Your point is?

Isn't it funny that when you take away the Teaparty name, and just ask people what they think about the ideas of the tea party, most agree with the ideas. It is because of the liberal mainstream media, and people like you LJ, who don't want to actually debate ideas, you just want to name call.

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

We've "debated" the so-called "ideas" to death. The teabaggers only have one thing: CUTS. They're willing to send the credit-rating of the U.S. government into the toilet by ignorantly blocking compromise on the national debt and the budget. They're willing to bring sequestration on to themselves by ignorantly blocking compromise. They're willing to screw the middle class, elderly, and those who depend on the programs they've paid into all their lives. And the Randroids, sociopaths and 'baggers' job "is not to care about those people."

No revenue increase...EVER.

Then the religious wackos get into the movement, and they've got a whole 'nother agenda....

No, "most" DON'T agree with their ideas. Maybe a couple of years ago--but not now. I googled "Tea Party approval" and found that only 9% actually approve of the party; only 20% think you are rational...About 20% think you are wrong and don't agree...and approximately 60% think you are either nuts, and/or a major detriment to this country. In a few more years, they'll be relegated to the "fringes" of history and be remembered as the last gasp of the old, angry white guys, who are diminishing rapidly because of old age and obsolescence. They're selling nothing but selfishness, hatred and extremism...and younger generations are, for the most part, looking at what they're selling and they're not interested. Another couple of decades and it'll be but a memory.
