I knew Obama was weak when he first got into office and felt that he had to go after Hannity and Rush by name merely because they were utilizing their freedom of speech (this sounds familar somehow)... anyway, that's not what I think a president should do. Now, elected officials are a different story, they are paid and voted in by the people in order to challenge the opposition, in order to make progress (in theory).
So that was just my first clue... the next was probably the fact that on the rare occasion that he had a tough interview, he became defensive at times and a bit annoyed by the host. That's not very presidential imo either... nor does it show real strength. He then rarely if ever (I can't remember many) did any press conferences... but plenty of speeches on the prompter (it doesn't talk back).
Now tonight was sooooo great because for the first time in four years, Obama faced tough questions and had to lay out his ideas that could finally be questioned by somebody other than a Whoopi Goldberg or a David Letteman. His tough questions have all been fielded by mental giants like Axlerod, Wassaman Schultz, Carney, and Gibbs. I shoudn't say that, they're just doing their jobs (except for debbie, she is truly a moron). So he gets insulated for 4 years then goes up against someone he and his party have been underestimating. BAMMM! right in the jaw!
Even when he went up against Hillary, he had no opponent because their ideologies were more closely aligned and Hillary was her old shrill self. Obama won there just because he was more likeable than that nasty troll. As soon as I heard her squeal like a stuck pig about Tony Rezco, I knew he had her on the canvas. Maybe it's just a misguided generalization that liberals make more decisions based on feelings than do conservatives, but in that case, I think the good feelings for Obama put him over the top in that debate.
I'm not saying this means Romney is going to win necessarily, but I do think it's put the fear of God in many of you on the left. But I am pessimistic... I still think there are too many "Jay Walkers" in this country, and they won't worry about voting style over substance until the water is boiling and it's too late.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
It confirms my belief that he is arrogant and elitist. He is not accustomed to having folks disagree with him; he surrounds himself with idiots and sycophants.
You could visibly see his jaw tightening when Romney pointed out failing points of his policies.

Great post. Obama looks like a fish out of water when he is away from his familiar friendly home field territory. Romney looks like he loves getting tough questions and always has an answer.
