President Obama's poor debate performance may have shattered some illusions among his supporters in the liberal media elite. Having invested themselves in the illusion of him as the fulfillment of the liberal dream of shattering glass ceilings and pernicious racial stereotypes, his evident lack of preparation felt like a betrayal to some. They are starting to catch on that they bought into an illusion. So they are turning on him.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

to be accurate, signs accumulate ASKING if liberals are embarrassed by Obama. It's nothing new that you would put an inaccurate title on the thread. Why can't you just go with the truth?

The billboards are put up by conservatives but the liberals embarrassed by Obama's performance include James Carville and other Dem observers. Personally I think Obama will step up his game in round 2. He is a smart guy but think he wasn't properly prepared by his people. Maybe they underestimated Mitt's intelligence and abilities. After a year of calling him a stiff who doesn't understand most of America, they might have started believing their own propaganda.

Do you have anything from Carville or those Dem observers where they say they were embarrassed by Obama? Or is that just another conservative opinion (lie)?

It's a LONG way from "disappointed by his performance in a debate" to: "embarrassed by..."

On the other hand, if I were a GOTP, I tell you what *I* would be embarrassed by:

There are a lot of liberals here including LJ who have been disappointed by the little Obama has been able to accomplish. Even ACA is a hybrid commercial better than nothing instead of the single payer system they wanted.
