Watching the hearings also. Doesn't bode well for the Obuma admin. Doesn't help that Obuma went on with his campaigning on 9-12 either.
As for being safe in this country, not really. Too easy to send part of the country up in smoke in wooded areas as has been demonstrated by all the arson fires.
IN NOVEMBER 2014, WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE! DONT BLOW IT!
“When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex. Only whit man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.” Indian Chief Two Eagles
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) acknowledged on Wednesday that House Republicans had consciously voted to reduce the funds allocated to the State Department for embassy security since winning the majority in 2010.
For the past two years, House Republicans have continued to deprioritize the security forces protecting State Department personnel around the world. In fiscal year 2011, lawmakers shaved $128 million off of the administration's request for embassy security funding. House Republicans drained off even more funds in fiscal year 2012 -- cutting back on the department's request by $331 million.

On Wednesday morning, CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien asked the Utah Republican if he had "voted to cut the funding for embassy security."
"Absolutely," Chaffetz said. "Look we have to make priorities and choices in this country. We have…15,0000 contractors in Iraq. We have more than 6,000 contractors, a private army there, for President Obama, in Baghdad. And we’re talking about can we get two dozen or so people into Libya to help protect our forces. When you’re in tough economic times, you have to make difficult choices. You have to prioritize things.”

1) There were FIVE (5) (count 'em---FIVE) security personnel on duty at the time of the attack...Not "zero" as the teabaggers have claimed.
2) More security personnel were requested, but with the budget cuts ($331 mlllion this year alone), the request could not be handled due to budget cuts.
3) The usual whack-job, Issa, is trying to crucify the State Dept because they couldn't react (because of the budget cuts the GOTP made...)
You can't make this stuff up...
It's kind of like the scene in "The Ten Commandments" where the pit-boss punishes some minor infraction of the guys in the pit, stomping the straw into the mud to make bricks, by telling them he won't give them any straw...And then beating them when they can't make bricks WITHOUT straw.
Wake me up when the usual teabaggers have something more important to say than this outrage-of-the-day drivel...
