Question for Obama / Clinton Supporters

Somalia is being repeated. Geeeez... why can't the left understand what the effect of their policies are around the world.

Why do I get the feeling that the Obama campaign is running the country right now and not the President.

Watching the hearings also. Doesn't bode well for the Obuma admin. Doesn't help that Obuma went on with his campaigning on 9-12 either.

As for being safe in this country, not really. Too easy to send part of the country up in smoke in wooded areas as has been demonstrated by all the arson fires.

Sadly I suspect that the decision to not send more security was made by some mid-grade nameless bureaucrat in the State Dept.

It troubles me greatly though that my government tried to lie and cover up the thing with the movie bs.

What do you want to bet it was made much higher cydl. Why else would they work so hard to attempt what appears to be a cover up?

The House GOP bear fault for this tragedy.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) acknowledged on Wednesday that House Republicans had consciously voted to reduce the funds allocated to the State Department for embassy security since winning the majority in 2010.

For the past two years, House Republicans have continued to deprioritize the security forces protecting State Department personnel around the world. In fiscal year 2011, lawmakers shaved $128 million off of the administration's request for embassy security funding. House Republicans drained off even more funds in fiscal year 2012 -- cutting back on the department's request by $331 million.

Yes...Here is a video of him admitting it:

On Wednesday morning, CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien asked the Utah Republican if he had "voted to cut the funding for embassy security."

"Absolutely," Chaffetz said. "Look we have to make priorities and choices in this country. We have…15,0000 contractors in Iraq. We have more than 6,000 contractors, a private army there, for President Obama, in Baghdad. And we’re talking about can we get two dozen or so people into Libya to help protect our forces. When you’re in tough economic times, you have to make difficult choices. You have to prioritize things.”

So, now we know:

1) There were FIVE (5) (count 'em---FIVE) security personnel on duty at the time of the attack...Not "zero" as the teabaggers have claimed.
2) More security personnel were requested, but with the budget cuts ($331 mlllion this year alone), the request could not be handled due to budget cuts.
3) The usual whack-job, Issa, is trying to crucify the State Dept because they couldn't react (because of the budget cuts the GOTP made...)

You can't make this stuff up...

It's kind of like the scene in "The Ten Commandments" where the pit-boss punishes some minor infraction of the guys in the pit, stomping the straw into the mud to make bricks, by telling them he won't give them any straw...And then beating them when they can't make bricks WITHOUT straw.

Wake me up when the usual teabaggers have something more important to say than this outrage-of-the-day drivel...

And Romney/Ryan's budget would cut another 20% from that security budget.
