Well, Mrs O graced Durango with her presence, this afternoon.
She's eloquent with her words, and passionate.
She's smart (a first generation student - and an ivy graduate).
I suppose America is lucky to have her as an inspirational role model.
That said, she's over-stated her husband's accomplishments, and I really
didn't hear much that convinced me that the Obama family merits 4 more years
in their current residence.
Apparently Mrs. O is jonesing for a walkabout in her local CVS:
""Now at CVS you have to get your bag, you have to pay if you want a bag. I heard about that, so it’s like I don’t want to go into CVS all ignorant and be like what’s this … and now I know that you have to pay for a bag which wasn’t the case three and a half years ago so things have changed," she said."
:bash Indeed, "things have changed."
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

Her folks were both genuine working class individuals.
She commuted 3 hours daily to go to high school (a good argument for school choice, by the way), and got herself into an ivy league school, and then into law school.
There's no denying that she worked to get where she is - and I'm not going to begrudge that.
I think that's an inspiring message --- and I hope she uses her story to inspire as many kids as she can.
