Like I said, both Romney and Obama just claimed on TV they would cut middle class taxes, not raise them. FYI Told Ya! :)

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

They should move away and start their own TAXED country because they are to lazy to get off their asses and take care of themselves.

Oh great, a new version of America, love it our leave it. Well I love it, I want it to thrive, I want this country to be the best it can be, and I know that there is a price to pay for greatness. You want it all, but are not willing to pay for it. I am far from lazy...have worked all my adult life, raised wonderful children, and taken responsibility for myself and my family. I resent your accusations, but will chalk it up to your desire to marginalize me and other liberals into your little box labeled lazy and feckless liberals. And you couldn't be more wrong.

That is correct, and I've said it here before. Europeans pay taxes more broadly for their social programs. Half of this country wants to copy their model, but expect the wealthy to foot the entire bill, which is mathematically impossible. And the leaders in politics pander to the voters promising them whatever, and never sending them the bill for it.

Except the bills are finally catching up and we are over the cliff.

When I was in Europe last month and talking with middle class people, the tax rates they were fine with, (50%) would shock most Americans. Only the wealthy wage earners in American have a combined tax bill of 50%
