(CNSNews.com) - The debt that the U.S. government owes to foreign interests now equals approximately $47,495 for each household in the United States, according to the latest data released by the U.S. Treasury and the Census Bureau.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Awk! The Debt! The Debt!
Yes...And RMoney wants to increase it by $5 Trillion in tax-cuts, and $2 Trillion in defense spending that the DoD hasn't asked for... How will he pay for this $7 Trillion?
1: "If we tell you, we'll lose...."
2: "We'll tell you after the election."
3: So, what deductions will you eliminate? "We'll tell you after the election."
4: What $7 Trillion?
Hmmmm... So, that will add roughly $23,333/per person to the debt that's already there... So, how do you calculate "per household"? 2.0 persons? 2.5? 2.1? 2.3?
So, let's just take it as "2.0" persons for the sake of the math... WOW... That comes to about $52,161/household... Congratulations, Mittens... You can have your $5 Trillion in tax-cuts for the wealthy, and screw the middle class; screw the seniors; screw the poor; screw the folks on Medicaid; screw the schools... Give the military guys $2 Trillion to play with, (even though they haven't asked for it)... And all you have to do is double the debt-per-household to do it...
Funny nobody brought this up with previous presidents? How much was it per household when Bush was president? Did any households end up paying then? This is just the latest Republican scare tactic (Hey, let's take the foreign debt and divide it by the number of households and get everyone to repeat it!) I'm going back through Google on this headline and it seems to have just started circulating in the last 24 - 36 hours.
The 5 trillion has been refuted. Get some facts this time. Not opinions from liberal think tanks that take the numbers to illogical extremes and use static models. 5 trillion as fact? How much the debt has increased in four years on Obama's watch. So even if we accept your bad numbers debt only increases one quarter under Mitt compared to BHO.
