I am an Independant Voter

I am pro-choice (rape is not gods will)
I am pro gay marriage (it is as critical as roe v wade)
I am for K-12 public education
I am anti-war (Bring our troops home now)
I am for legalization
I am against vouchers for medicare
I am for investment in green energy research at the University level

I am for enforcing our existing immigration laws
I am pro bush tax cuts (my rate goes up 6 pts)
I am against all anti gun legislation
I am pro coal
I am pro domestic oil production
I am pro oil/gas leases on public lands
I am anti obamacare ( there must be a better way)

I am for a balanced Supreme Court
I am for a strong military
I am for true energy independence

I cannot heat my house with solar
I cannot drive to work on wind power
I cannot feed my family when my electric bill is X2 after the coal plants are mandated to close
I cannot continue a 112 mile commute (just like most of you) at $4 a gallon

I am concerned about gas prices
I am aware neither candidate knows shit about foreign policy
I am aware neither gives a shit about the middle class
I am aware that, overall, there is little difference between the two...

that being said...

I am aware one wants to control by increasing energy costs
I am aware one wants to control by lowering energy costs

I also realize Obama will undoubtdly win butt..

I am an Independant Voter and it took Obama to force me to vote Republican

I suspect there are millions of folks who feel just as you do in regards to your entire post.
It's interesting....I went through each of your points and with the exception of a couple of issues, we agree. I would bet that is true of most Americans.
We generally want the same things but have clearly different paths in which to get there.
