Wedding ring conspiracy: Obama may be a ‘closeted Muslim'

Bryan Fischer, the director of issues analysis of a conservative fundamentalist Christian organization, on Thursday speculated that designs on President Barack Obama’s wedding ring meant that “he may in fact be a closeted Muslim.”

Earlier this month, World Net Daily’s resident birther Jerome Corsi put forth a conspiracy theory that the president’s ring “is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: ‘There is no god except Allah.’”

Corsi spoke to “experts” like “Dreams from My Real Father” producer Joel Gilbert and concluded that the ring “demonstrates the significance of Islam in his life.”


On Thursday, Fischer speculated that the mainstream media was ignoring the wedding ring conspiracy theory because it was bad for Obama politically.

That is by itself - more than enough evidence ---- Muslim men do NOT wear gold --
Anyone who is familiar with basic Islamic tradition knows that
it's offensive, and explicitly forbidden (Islam teaches modesty - and gold is not modest ---
and Islam does not approve of effeminate things - which would include gold jewelry).

The video really proves to me this nut case doesn't really know much about Islam, and likely knows less about the President.

Who is saying Obama is a Muslim? You say the GOP is doing this... can you give some specific examples of this theory being spread by more than a few outliers?
