Isn't it interesting that the last time the Des Moines Register editorial board endorsed a Republican for President, it was Richard M. Nixon... It 5 months after the Watergate break-in; and a month after 7 co-conspirators went before a judge, and all of the signs started pointing to direct White House involvement.
They said, "We're troubled by the apparent links to the White House..." And that was all... And then they went ahead and endorsed Nixon.
Looks to me like another case of bad judgement... But hey...THANKFULLY, I do NOT live in Iowa....
