Truly Bipartisan effort

There's gonna one of two men tasked with the complete cleanup of the eastern seaboard. It ain't gonna be complete before January. Naturally Obama's administartion needs to get a win in the initial reaction, but the full cleanup will last long into the next term.

Wouldn't it make some sense for Romney and Obama to tour the devastation together to minimize their impact, allow them to see what the country is facing, and then get the heck out of the way?

i think the devastation is so large that they should both just stay out of the way. let the states do what they need to do and Obama provide what they cannot handle on their own. Aren't both candidates capable of briefing on the devastation without actually seeing it?

Tele-commute? No real reason to visit in person. Even Twitter can show you the devastation.

No, I believe there's benefit to actually being there. Standing in the middle of devastation makes a much greater impact on a soul than simply viewing it on a screen. I don't blame them for visiting once, but make it as low impact as possible.

Christie specifically asked Obama to come to NJ to view the devastation.

That's great. Apparently NJ is ready for him and he won't be in the way.
