The bottom line on all this, it really does not matter who the President is, unless Congress is willing to work together for the betterment of this Country, it is all for not. The President is only as good as Congress will allow them to be.

And I for one am happy to know that the "fundamental transformation" envisioned by our current president has been stopped dead in its tracks. This last Congress was sent to Washington to put an end to Obama's radical agenda and they have performed the job that they were sent there to do.

Well since it was a democratic Congress 4 out of the last 6 years. They didn't do a damn thing either. Or as Pelosi says, we'll have to pass it to know whats in it.

It looks like the current Congress will be reelected pretty much in total even though it is widely considered the worst Congress ever!

So it looks like the people want the status quo even though it really stinks.

I don't want the democrats to make any progress towards their goals, as I think their goals are the wrong ones to be shooting for.

I'd imagine liberals feel the same about conservative goals.

We'll find out later tonight. I'm still betting that control of the Senate shifts Republican. I'm also optimistic that Romney carries the day. In Colorado Republicans outnumbered Democrats in early voting and Republicans generally outnumber Democrats in casting ballots on election day. With Romney leading among independents not only in Colorado but across the rest of the Union as well, this has the potential to be a very, very good day for the future of our Union.

Too bad Harry Reid is saying the very same thing.

Harry Reid Slams Mitt Romney Bipartisanship Pledge As 'Laughable'

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) -- who looks likely to keep his leadership job and would be the top Democrat for a President Romney to deal with -- said in a statement Friday that he and the Democratic caucus have already shot down most of the things over which Romney says he could find cross-aisle agreement.

"Mitt Romney’s fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his 'severely conservative' agenda is laughable," said Reid, paraphrasing Romney's assertion during the earlier part of the campaign that he was a severe conservative.

"In the past few months, we have voted down many of the major policies that Mitt Romney has run on, from the Ryan plan to end Medicare as we know it, to the Blunt Amendment to deny women access to contraception, to more tax giveaways for millionaires and billionaires, to a draconian spending plan that would gut critical services for seniors and the most vulnerable Americans," Reid said.

I am also very happy with the current congress- they were sent there to stop the socialist Obama agenda- and so far they are doing a good job.

It sure as hell does matter who the president is. First of all- this president has proven that he can not work with anyone, even his own party voted against his budget. That's how bad Obama's budget was.

Second- the president comes with about 2000 appointed officials- from the EPA to the FDA to the FCC - the list goes on and on. If Romney wins- all those lefties will lose their jobs- and conservatives will be appointed in their place. Makes a massive difference on how money is spent, used and allocated within Washington.

To say that it really dosn't matter - is either quite ignorant, or nieve. It makes a difference in thousands of appointed positions- and all those under them that they hire- tens of thousands of people. It makes a massive difference- our government run by collectivists- or run by free market thinkers. And THAT- is the bottom line.

I agree, it couldn't matter any more than in this election. We know where Obama wants us to go and it's much more like Europe and much less like the great country so many have fought and died for.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
