U.S. officials have acknowledged privately that the treaty under discussion would have no effect on domestic gun sales and ownership because it would apply only to exports."

the vote had been scheduled last week, but the UN was closed due to Hurricane Sandy.
So happy the wingnuts have found another conspiracy.

That is assuming Obama believes that the 2nd amendment is an individual right.

BHO wanted to get re-elected, but now he doesn't have to worry about that so he has more freedom, like he told the Russians.

I think that's a big assumption. Glorious Leader would like us all to be disarmed. Except the military.

I didn't read through but the first page of this thread, but I have to agree with the opponents Martin. I read the article the other day, and it's pretty legit. I don't believe everything I read, regardless of the source, but this time I'm stayin'. They're talking about large gun sales, and high caliber I suspect, and to other countries, hence the exportation regs that will be comin down. Domestic gun sales that we worry about won't be affected, ie; Bailey Guns, Bass Pro, Cabelas, Wrigley Ammo Sales, Great Gun Gallery, etc. If you want to stock up on ammo and firearms (me as well) do it because the prices will be getting higher like everything else. I do believe that the current leader HATES us being armed, but right now and in the future we're pretty safe. Course, this is jmho.

You can never have enough ammo.

And the UN ban is just a step away from a citizen ban so wake up, read the proposals and educate yourselves on the verbage in these bills.
