Anyone read about this in the Post today. I have been following the story on BBC radio since it broke and it is just shameful to see the people around Saville doubting the victims and protecting the perp. Same issues we see with the Boy Scouts, Penn State, and the Catholic Church.
Why do you think was the major reason for the coverups? Naive and can't believe that these sexual predators are out there? Don't want to hurt the reputation of the organizations like the BBC? Not caring about the children? One of the places Saville worked his damage was at a place he supported with charity dollars, like Sandusky, so it almost seems like a quid pro quo. Like we will turn a blind eye to you taking sexual advantage of our wards because you are paying the bills. Almost like pimping out the children.
Disgraceful, but do you also think society these days care more about children than they did back then? But are the kids any safer these days?
