Romney could have won easily. How? Only have white men vote, like this electoral map (created by BuzzFeed) above shows for the white male votes in the 2012 election.
Fortunately for society, America is made up of a variety of different people who are able to vote. Going forward, Republicans will need to improve their marketing and messages for Latinos, blacks, homosexuals, and women if they ever have any desire to get into office again, because the electorate, outside of white males, showed overwhelming support for Obama despite a poor economic performance for four years and a majority opposing his controversial health care plan.
Conservatives have constructed a myth that says certain groups — blacks, Hispanics, women, young people — vote Democratic because they’re stupid, because they’re lazy, and because they can be purchased with trinkets and baubles. It’d be one thing if they kept that myth a secret, but instead they shout it from the rooftops. Then, when
it’s over, they wonder why those people voted Democratic again.
And liberals have created a myth that minorities can't compete against whites in America without affirmative action. Virginia, in order to stay up with "No Child Left Behind" now lets African Americans, Hispanics, and special needs kids pass classes with only a 45%.
