We no longer live in the 60's VL. The biggest oil companies are nationlized firms like Chavez's Citgo and Mexico's Pemex. Libyan oil? No American oil companies were awarded leases by the new government. Iraq also has no American oil companies working there. You really need to get to other countries and stop getting your foreign affairs knowledge from bad druggie announcers like Bill Walton.Big Doug wrote:

lol me and you won't get any of it...And there are always valuable things under the ground. I remember watching an NBA game, Bill Walton was calling it and he was talking about an African player who came from a suprisingly peacefull prosperous part of Africa, a moden metropolitian city somewhere over there. His father was a doctor and his mom was a college proffeser or something.. and they were quite well off...Then Walton says its because their is no oil under the ground there..I laughed because he's spot on. I'm sure it went over most peoples heads, but I love it when people on air go off the plantation like that- I'm sure NBC told him to shut the F up about global politics..
