Jesse Jackson Jr. Resigns Due To Campaign Fund Investigation

He resigned while being treated for mental issues. The saddest thing is that he was recentlly re-elected. I would hope voters would be smarter than that.

Cause you know if there's an investigation and he's a Dem, he must be guilty. I'm guessing he is, but you seem to think because someone's under investigation for something and not convicted they shouldn't be re-elected.

I think voter's would consider if he is fit to do the job, since he was was being treated at the moment for bi-polar disorder. But then again, the voters were liberals. That explains it.

Whereas if he had an (R) after his name, he would have to be led from the courtroom--after his third appeal--in handcuffs, with blood still dripping from his hands, after raping the (Republican) Governor's daughter on the statehouse steps....

(Don't make me pull out my list of Best Republican resignations... I've always particularly like the one for Foley, after molesting little boys; and Richard Nixon is always a favorite...)

Plus he had been off the job for months. Hard to be a good representative while a mental patient on leave.

Yes, let's make fun of people who have mental breakdowns and end up in clinics.... It's so ... 'YOU'.... While you're at it, why don't you go after a few Special Olympics kids, and people with autism. There should be a few good chuckles there...

I am not making fun of him. I think he should have resigned earlier and I think the voters shouldn't have re-elected him. And I disagree with your earlier point Republicans like to eat their own. Look how many are turning on Romney now just for losing.

I would say that Jessie Jackson Jr. is living proof that the Dems will elect or re-elect someone no matter HOW crazy they are. rofllol
