The primary audience is Iranians. Iran uses bad-mouthing to divert attention away from itself, and toward Israel
(most Iranians would disagree - they couldn't care less about Israel - they'd rather feed and clothe their kids).
Take a look at Haaretz (an Israeli paper). Israel seems less concerned by Dr. Ding-dong's shallow and predictable rhetoric than most US pro-zionists:
