lol Think Obama will ask Mitt if he would agree to take the job? Mitt gets to go home and enjoy his retirement and play with his grandkids. Barack gets to fight over the Fiscal Cliff, a recession in Europe, Asian economies declining growth rate, and teenage daughters starting to date.

It would be fun to be a fly on the wall in that meeting. Nice gesture by Obama really.

I have read that they really don't like each other, but possibly the anger has mellowed now that we have gone 2 weeks without attack ads. Like football players shaking hands after a game. And I have to agree with you, it is a classy move to invite the guy.

I think it's sweet... Let Mitt-Flop see the one thing his money couldn't buy...and the last opportunity he'll ever have to see it up close...without an invitation.

If Obama is like LJ, it wouldn't be a nice gesture, instead it would be an hour long gloat fest.

It would show Obama is taking the economy serious if he would ask Mitt to be the "business czar". Admit he really doesn't know much about economics, and bring in someone who does. He specializes in social stuff, so Obama could stick with what he knows, and let someone else work on the economy.

Maybe Obama wants to get some insider investing tips for his IRA?

Good thought. I'd love to see him do that. It would also go a long way in reconciling the electorate after a contentious season. I'd be shocked if that happens though. As narcissistic and arrogant as little o is he wouldn't suffer to admit that he isn't knowledgeable about economics - or anything else for that matter.

I don't want them to "run the economy", I want them to work on the economy, as in, understand how govt policies affect growth, and business decisions, and adjust accordingly.
