Let's see --- Haliburton? KBR?

I'm sure there's a few other names that could be added to the list of suspects.

This would have happened under Obama or McCain - these folks are simply too deeply embedded in the system.

It really brings a new meaning to "military-industrial" complex.....

Tons of money changed hands - very little value was delivered.

That, my friends, is the new American way.

These were funds given to Iraq officials with no oversight. This was widely reported years ago and the suspicion at the time was that the billions would disappear. Now Iraq has the gall to want to sue the U.S. to replace the billions that they have stolen. That is laughable.

"The $9.1 billion in question came from the Development Fund for Iraq, which was set up by the U.N. Security Council in 2003. The DFI includes revenues from Iraq's oil and gas exports, as well as frozen Iraqi assets and surplus funds from the defunct, Saddam Hussein-era U.N. oil-for-food program."

Not clear to me what is going on here. This does not look like US money. No proof of fraud yet, just no accounting of what was spent. No mention of Halliburton, etc. Sounds like sloppy accounting so far. Nothing else. Did I miss something? It is hard to believe there is no record of the spending.
