I'm not hiding behind the "lesser of two evils" b.s. Obama was my candidate. I voted for him because he was the one I wanted to win, and I want him to implement the policies that he ran on.
I would NEVER vote for one of the lying, fact-free, flip-flopping gutless clowns that can't stand up to the teabaggers, and the sociopaths, and thinks that "47% of the population" (including retirees, veterans, active military, disabled, and others) are "victims" and "takers." And I SINCERELY hope that the GOTP is stupid enough to think that the reason they lost is because they didn't run someone far enough to the right. I PRAY that they run another right-wing Neanderthal in 2016. That should be enough to ensure the complete and total destruction of the GOTP for decades.
I'm not hiding behind anything? ..I feel that Obama has been a major dissapointment and have said that all along, and i'm not the only one... Everything he does is window dressing..Sure its better than nothing, but not much...So they're right LJ- He sold us out...He didn't do anything he ran on in 04, and he's probably not gonna do much now...And i'm not fully buying the "his hands were/are tied" argument, he pretends his hands are tied sometimes, like in his first year when he had it all and did nothing..
And to be honest....there were times, like when everything went down in Wisconsin that I would have had no problem with someone shooting him...Our quarterback sucked, and I wanted the backup Biden to step in..
It doesnt mean i'm still not part of the team though

Why do continually vote for the lessor of two evils then? Why not float a candidate out there that is more in line with your beliefs?
How do you know who I voted for?
I have no idea who you voted for. You statement
He's the lesser of two evils to 99% of democrats..Much lesser
Leads me to believe that you may have voted for Obama. Well that and your continuous boasting that Romney lost may have had something to do with it as well.
Heck I don't even know if you are a man, woman or manbearpig

I better mark this on my calender as the one and only time I've ever agreed with you. EXCEPT for the part where you would be ok with someone shooting the president. You can get away with such an outrageous statement because you're a leftist and those on your side will give you a pass on it (kinda like it's ok for blacks to be racists but not whites). If I had said what you did, I'd probably get the usual **** ******* **** ****** from the 285 road crew with a nice little PM.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

1. Note you were not on the list and LJ has spoken clearly for herself and made it pretty clear, even now has come on this thread saying again what she has said many times, very strong support for Obama. You have said the lesser of evils or similar, yet still gloated at your fellow citizens. Please allow others to listen to what is said here and understand a little of it, that is all I did.
2. Now I totally appreciate your lesser of evils logic. This logic as opposed to the outright support is a lot like my feeling that the lesser of evils is actually giving up. I ask how we get around it, that is the point of this thread, not to stir up more mud but to get to the core, that is what the courtroom is for, trying to find the common essence. How much longer do we expect the lesser of evils? I was trying to understand those with undying support and why it can be so undying, without reasonable criticism, stuff that they can simply observe themselves without pundits? You are a smart guy, what say you besides horse crap on how to get into people's minds so we can get a system not only DOES NOT HAVE people that have zero criticism of leaders that do so much BUT ALSO DOES NOT HAVE people that accept the lesser of evils all the time?
To respond to the OP, I have a perfect example: a politician/party will lose my support when they look me in the eye and lie and present fabricated "evidence" intended to pull our country into a war for personal reasons. I grew up in a conservative family, and was a devout Republican for years, and always voted Republican. When Colin Powell came on tv and told me Saddam was about to unleash chemical/biological/nuclear weapons, that the attack was emminent and a pre-emptive strike was aboslutely necessary, I discussed with a friend that when it came down to war, when it came down to protecting our nation, we must trust our government to not lie or deceive, that our government's primary concern is what is best for our nation. My friend insisted the intelligence was not accurate, that war was not necessary. I disagreed and insisted our elected officials wouldn't drag us into armed warfare, willing to kill hundreds of thousands of others, and willing to sacrifice American lives, if it were not absolutely necessary. My friend said I was a sucker, that I was obviously being lied to, and one day I'd realize it. I told him, "If this is all a lie, I will never vote Republican again"....and I haven't and won't.
*It seems the OP has more interest in finding out what Obama supporters dislike about him than the original question posited...in my opinion, Obama has done some amazing things (by the way, all this 'he didn't do anything when he had the House and Senate' is total propaganda BS...they passed a ton of good legislation during those few months...you can't fix ALL of the Republican blunders overnight), and Obama has fallen short on some of my expectations: to date, not one banker has had to answer for the massive fraud swindled against the American people - you wanna talk 'wealth redistribution'?..a huge chunk of our nation's wealth was just 'redistributed' to a few wallets. Obama's handling of this has been the biggest disappointment to me, but certainly not enough of a disappointment to make me shoot myself in the foot by allowing the Republicans another chance at eliminating the middle class.

Jus' keep doin' what yer doin'....
With respect for your respect for our leaders, what types of stuff would you be critical of in our current administration. I do not think you are at risk of being pegged as a right winger or not as an Obama supporter.
I think it goes a long way towards our discussions, as we are having them accross this isle that folks wont give up on so frequently, to be critical of your own favorites when they don't do something good. Now, you may have done this and it may not have stood out or I missed it.
A good one would be govt transparency or even how the Admin is treating dispensaries or drone killings? What are your opinions of these issues? I understand there are other issues, perhaps bigger, I am not suggesting impeaching him, but are all these things being handled appropriately by the admin?
I also ask you what we do about those that don't feel as much support for their choices for office, which you also understand is many, if not you in some cases, but likely in others....how to we get people on board with support for choices in stead of lesser of evils?

We said, PD! I would put Gitmo, and the fact we're still in Afghanistan as things I'm not happy about. Gitmo is a no win. If Obama shuts it down and lets the "prisoners" go who haven't been charged with anything, he'll get blasted by the right. He keeps it open, they blast him anyway. I think the answer is to let the prisoners die of old age.

Exactly what is planned for 2014 in the House and Senate.
IN NOVEMBER 2014, WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE! DONT BLOW IT!
