Do you think the opposing side, is simply misguided, or are they worse, evil?

I tend to think of most lefties as impractical people who don't understand how things work. Wheras I hear on the Left that the Right is cold blooded, mean spirited people who want to see the disadvantaged die.

True, I forgot about how the GOP are devious idiots with the IQ of a warm houseplant and zero education.

There are certainly some evil people and many misguided people on all sides, IMO - no one side can take the blame. I think past all the rhetoric and name-calling liberals and conservatives have a lot more in common than not. To me it's unfortunate that things degenerate into that mode. It's so easy for many of us (and I include myself - much to my regret) to fall into that knee-jerk response. It's so conditioned these days.

I also believe that it's in the best interest of higher powers (government, corporations) to accentuate the differences and "fan the flames" if you will. Divide and conquer.

I particularly dislike the belittling and name-calling on both sides. It reminds me of the tactics used to dehumanize enemies. No reason for that.

And very few of us are totally right or totally left.
