Obama Administration Abandons Jailed Marine

A US Marine looks like he will spend Christmas in Mexico for doing the stupid stunt of admitting he had an antique shotgun he was taking to another country for hunting.

Meanwhile the goverment officials who endorsed assault weapons being transported into Mexico didn't even see jail time.

Jay "The Weasel" Carney, knows nothing about this... I wonder if Eric Holder is also so inept that he is unaware as well. If this was some OWS protestor or any Obama supporter, he would probably have been given some attention... but alas, he is only a Marine. Meanwhile, only Fox seems to be giving this story any attention.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Once again, total BS. The individuals responsible for F&F were held accountable and fired. No one, absolutely no one, has been able to prove that Holder personally directed F&F or was in any way responsible. But hey, why should conservatives actually use facts when lies make such a better outrage.

As to the Marine, don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

They've been operating in a Fact-Free-Zone for so long, they don't know any other way...

And what does the fact that he was a FORMER Marine have to do with it? Interesting that you think that's important, but not important enough to post a link to the story...and not important enough that you would tell us the guy is a FORMER Marine, and not a current service-member...Again, not that it has ANYTHING to do with the story... But I wonder how many stupid former service-members are residents of Mexican jails?...And "the Obama Administration" is supposed to get involved with every fool who gets caught doing something stupid in Mexico?)

OK, wrap it up... Another b.s. "outrage-of-the-day" distortion....

Very true, Obama has pledged to have the back of our servicemen, unless they are former Marines jailed in Mexico or former SEALs' in Libya trying to protect our ambassador.

Should the president intervene when a former service member commits a crime? This kid did commit a crime in Mexico.....we may not agree with the law, but then a lot of foreigners don't agree with our laws. I find it hard to understand why anyone would expect the president to be involved on this.

According to the kid's parents he was trying to legally bring the antique shotgun in to Mexico for a hunting trip. Apparently he was still at the border when he was grabbed.
