But going off the cliff, basically means we get what we wanted. ALL of the Bush tax-cuts go bye-bye. Then a new bill will be put up for make all of the rates, except the top one, permanent. Let's see the GOTP vote against that one... And then they'll pass one to set the top rate at >$250,000.... Lst's see the GOTP vote against that one. Then they'll have a look at the Defense budget, which needs MAJOR cutting...

I'm all for it.

Really? Going over the cliff will bring back the austerity that you think will cripple the economy. Or do you believe the public backlash would create a brush fire to clean out the Republicans in the House for 2014. Sacrifice a couple more years for one party rule in Barack's last two years?

If there is a backlash, it's already guaranteed that it will be the GOTP that will take the brunt of it. And yes, I believe it will go a LONG way toward throwing the rest of the teabaggers out on their keisters.... I thought you guys liked "one-party rule"--as long as it was YOUR party.

But that is not the reason I think it's going to happen.

In any case, I want to thank the teabaggers... Teabaggers RULE!!! They're predictable; they're irrational; and they're hell-bent on self-destruction. At least we finally have something bipartisan---BOTH the GOTP and the Democrats are going to get to celebrate the crumbling of the Republican Party... The teabaggers came to tear-down-the-house, not to govern, and God Love their little pointed heads, they're doing just that.

I think one party rule is always a dangerous thing. One of the checks and balances we have is the other party saying WTF when something the country doesn't need but one party wants.
