Colorado is looking at adding a fee to background checks due to record checks and long wait times since Obama was re-elected. I think this is a bad idea. The record sales of guns, ammos and accesories are one of the few bright sides to holiday sales this year, and filled the coffers of the state.

? There was a fee to the CBI for a back round check before I was issued my CCW.
One of the largest rifle magazine suppliers in America is Magpul Arms located in Boulder County. Ironic right? Lots of Coloradoans working making magazines and other gun accessories. CCW background check fees? In many States if you have a valid CCW you don't need to pass a background check before buying a new gun. If Colorado did that it would reduce the current week long wait time.

Fred, haven't you been cautioned about attempting to apply logic when the Gubment is involved? There doesn't need to be any rhyme or reason for new laws, taxes, and fees - just fork over the cash, keep feeding the pig.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
