I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.
I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.
I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.
We, the people, deserve better than you.
Respectfully Submitted,
Joshua Boston

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
I've never thought of my brother as a prima donna. He gave up making a minimum of 100k a year commercial fishing to become a Marine and my family and my little home town is very proud of him. He also got excellent grades in HS and plans to continue his education when his service is up. I just can't comprehend the negative attitude some have about the people who risk so much for so little pay.

It is puzzling that so many people who are born or legally immigrate to the United States have no sense of duty to their country. It's even more curious that so many people in this country have become so fearful of the rights we are guaranteed by our own constitution. They would rather let the Government tell us what we can and can't do and protect us from ourselves.

Kodiak, I hope he has consulted with his command carrier counselor, senior enlisted advisor, educational specialist or what ever the current name for that billet is.
I have known many exceptional servicemen who have had major opportunity loses due to being totally focused on their jobs and their units mission while on active duty. There could be readily available as well as some obscure programs which could benefit his long term goals but like the lottery, you can't win if you don't play.
Back to the subject...This letter writer is #1 illiterate, and #2 unstable. I bet the Fienstien security team is keeping their eyes on that one. And that "some woman" comment was particulary disturbing.. Shes an elected official! Thats how this country works. What does this brainwashed idiot want, a military dictatorship or something?
