Seems a bit heavy handed to me to put this perp in the hotel Gray Bar, get his to pay out bail, and then line him up for more by charging him with third degree assualt BUT I wasn't there when the alleged crime took place. I can't imagine it came down to much more than a shouting match and a love tap from the stick; on the other hand, let the punishment fit the crime. If the guy with the cane beat the piss out of the other guy then let his deeds dictate his reward.
