So true but then you can still get incompetents like Eric Holder. lol

If he wants diversity tell him to tell the people of color that he wants to win, to get good ideas that the population wants and get elected . Quotas are not the solution. Gotta be real about it. Everything is not a conspiracy. There are several ways to do things. IT's call democracy. Do you see the mentality of government? They always think it has to be done for people.

Those guys are all making money off their position with insider info and only in congress is it not illegal.

In fact, this guy is a criminal as far as I am concerned with many, many ethical problems. How the hell did he get elected. I think he should be gone.

We should be complaining about the disproportional amount of blacks in pro basketball and football... IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!!! :crying2:

Maybe there aren't enough women or minorities that are dumb enough to be in politics.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

It seems logical that criminals shouldn't be allowed to serve in public office. What kind of idiot would vote for one?

 But we vote for them all the time and don't find out they're criminals and scumbags until it's too late.

Vote for them once, shame on them. Re-elect them, shame on us. But re-elect them, we do. Both parties are equally guilty here.

No argument there.

On Sunday, during an appearance on Meet The Press, Colin Powell condemned the GOP’s “dark vein of intolerance” and the party’s repeated use of racial code words to oppose President Obama and rally white conservative voters.

Without mentioning names, Powell singled out former Mitt Romney surrogate and New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu for calling Obama “lazy” and Sarah Palin, who, Powell charged, used slavery-era terms to describe Obama.

Thanks for the video. He said some parts of the party. The quote makes it out to seem like it is everyone. Where did you get the quote?

Even though I see Powell as a RINO, I like what he had to say.

I agree that the GOP has to make some changes if it is going to be viable and they are. More minorities are moving to the party as they learn what it stands for. It isn't all "bad" right wing just as the Dem party isn't all "bad" left wing. The right wing's message including the teaparty is being heard.

I commend Powell for addressing the issues. Thanks for posting it Raees.

The video and quote came from the link that was posted.

Here's the entire quote:

"There's also a dark vein of intolerance in some parts of the party," Powell said on NBC's "Meet the Press." "What do I mean by that? What I mean by that is they still sort of look down on minorities."

"When I see a former governor say that the president is 'shuckin' and jivin'.' That's a racial-era slave term," Powell said, referring to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin using the term to describe Obama's response to the attacks in Libya.

Powell also pointed to former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu, who was an aggressive surrogate for Mitt Romney, for calling Obama "lazy" after the first debate during the campaign.

"He didn't say he was slow, he was tired, he didn't do well; he said he was 'lazy,'" Powell said "Now, it may not mean anything to most Americans, but to those of us who are African Americans, the second word is "shiftless," and then there's a third word that goes along with it."
