Americans pay less for food as a percentage of their income than most "civilized" nations. Maybe higher income taxes and value added taxes would leave less money for fattening foods? Higher gas taxes would encourage more walking and bike riding. We could tax our ways to healthier lifestyles. The Obamarecession is helping with this by increasing healthcare costs decreasing income and understated inflation have reduced the money people have to buy food with.

"Randroids-in-Action"...

Yeah, let's make sure those with less money have to walk further; drive less; .. (Of course, fatty-foods like pasta, beans, make your money go further, so if you are barely scraping by, you make your food go as far as you can...) Sorry, Gramma/Granpa... You twit over there on crutches, wheelchairs....

But, hey, screw 'em... It's their fault they're poor, right? Yeah, I got it. now....

As long as the Randroids got theirs, screw you if you don't.

Or, if you're not worried about incurring a catastrophic medical expense because you have national health care, like the other civilized countries, you'd have more money for gas and those famous one-month vacations.

We are in a very controlled society, what can we do to force people into higher categories so that we can brag that we are higher on some list.

Look we are number one, we are number one at locking other human beings in concrete boxes without concern. Once we are number one at that, we fall to the bottom on every other list. And be clear, we have little to no issue with this, so we should have no issues with everything that comes of it.

Just like on 285bound, no one here respects anyone else, so 1st who cares and we are making this happen. The courthouse and how we interact is exactly why.

If you have an opinion that you want to control something that some other human being is doing, you are to blame.

Really, who cares, go make another law.

Which country are you talking about and does everyone get one month vacas and gas or do some people get those and others just suffer and live off the public dime (oh yeah and the future of their children, like us, but to an even greater extent, if it is even possible.

America is now #1 because we figured out how to suck the least. Has anyone here moved to one of the countries they like more and if not why?

In regards to your health concerns, why then did you push for a new health insurance mandate system that none of the other countries have in stead of the one that has given the results you worship?

In regards to universal health care, there are currently no bigger barriers than the group of people that pushed for the ACA (and now worship it).

Why have you put us into another experiment vs. proven results you love to talk about. Why are liberals the biggest barrier to getting what so many other nations they love and want to move to have?

And Raees, that is a movie. Please try and learn to use your words.

Actually it's a TV series. He just said it better than I could. Don't confuse the messenger with the message.

Is that why you are planning to ex-patriot your self after retirement. Why not stick around and try and improve it? I would imagine that in your way that is what you are trying to do here.

Why hang around a carcass that has been stripped clean of all the meat? Just go find another animal and resume parasitic activities while complaining about the upper class and big businesses having too much wealth and making profits. That should work for a few years, assuming that we don't experience another global economic depression... Oh, wait.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
