I know an IS guy who works for a Colorado company but lives in Hawaii. His day starts early but he still gets beach/sun time.

Many of the employees he helps out don't even know he is halfway across the Pacific.

Saw that article too, doesn't surprise me except that outsourcing software and coding to India and China is 20x cheaper but takes 10x longer to complete. Seen it several times on projects. To the bean counters it is a good deal, not so much to the project managers and engineers. This guy probably had a team of 5 working on it.

Very true about leadtimes here. Even circuit boards and LCD displays. And plus don't even try to get anything out of China during their New Year's celebration, worse than France in August.
