Any chance it will start to migrate to content? They could take most, maybe all action flicks and call it the year 20030. Then they could all have ray guns.

In a statement obtained by Multichannel.com, Time Warner Cable, the second largest cable provider in the country, announced:
“We no longer accept ads showing semi-automatic weapons and guns pointed at people. We stand by this policy. If it’s essential to a business owner to show this kind of imagery in their commercials, there are other advertising options in the marketplace.”

Sen. Feinstein ready to introduce new ban on assault weapons
Feinstein’s bill will expand the criteria for classifying military-style assault weapons from a 1994 law, which lapsed a decade later. Her new measure will ban the sale of about 150 types of firearms, including some rifles and handguns, as well as the sale of high-capacity magazines, according to USA Today.
The bill will exempt firearms used for hunting and will grandfather in guns and magazines owned before the law’s potential enactment. However, the grandfathered weapons will be logged in a national registry.
Well that makes a lot of sense :bash for example the Ruger Mini 14 tactical is listed but the Ruger Mini 14 Ranch, Target, and Thirty all must be OK. The only difference is the tactical version looks scary.
The Ruger Homepage/mini14
Why the hell are there any Barrett rifles on the list? I guess because they look scary and come with a 10 round mag?
If anyone wants to get rid of their Barrett, I have a birthday coming up.
Time Warner is a private company, so this is no big deal. They could restrict images of black people if they wanted to, right? No one has to watch.
I thought this thread was about what was on TV. The laws about what is banned don't effect this. They can ban nukes and still show what looks like a nuke in a movie or ad....for now.
