Was it live or memorex

Though the National Anthem was beautiful at the Inauguration yesterday it was not a live performance by Beyonce.

That way Beyonce didn't need a teleprompter like the President does.

There have been conflicting reports on if she did or didn't.....

Next time let Kelly Clarkson sing it, she is authentic.

I heard she didn't get a chance to rehearse with the band so the decided to use the recording.

Either way....she sang it, and it was awesome.

I agree. It was a nice contrast to Clarkson who was also great.

The Marine Band says it was Memorex and they also admitted they were synching too.

Once again Fred just makes it up. The Marines admitted that their portion of the Star Spangled Banner was synched to tape as they did not practice with Beyonce, but that hers may have been live.

Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Gregory Wolf said that because there was no opportunity for Beyonce to rehearse with the Marine Band, it was determined that a live performance by the band was ill advised. Instead they used a pre-recorded track for the band's portion of the song.

"Regarding Ms. Knowles-Carter's vocal performance," Wolf's statement continued, "no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded."

Not sure why this is an issue anyway... I would only be mad if it was a Beyonce impersonater or a pre-recorded video of her.
