Did you understand what I posted..If by some miracle it became illegal, abortion pills would just becaome another illegal drug that anyone can get...You'll never stop it..And you'll never stop human beings (doctors) from helping other human beings (women)..
As much as conservatives would like to turn the clock back to the 50's, pandora's box has been opened, women have the freedom to make their own decisions. I have no problem with the GOP continuing to fight women's rights......it helps Democrats win elections. Latest polls show 70% of Americans do not want to overturn Roe v Wade........conservatives are on the wrong side of history on this one.

This thread was about this specific video... that is all.. I've been in this argument over the right and wrong of abortions too manny times... and this is not one of those times. This is about a video I personally find pathetic.
But I will say this in response to your point... I don't care if I was only in the 1% bracket of people who think abortion should only be a last resort and not as an easy way out of a responsibility for one's actions.
I got my girlfriend pregnant when we were both 22 yrs old. It was nothing I was hoping for but was ready to step up and make it work. She said she didn't want "it" and I was more than willing to run to the bank and drive her to PP. It was the beginning of the end for us and we eventually broke up. Years later we bumped into each other and talked about what our ten year old child would have been like. It wasn't until then that I knew I should have fought for him/her but I didn't... and I have to live with that.
I'm not going to tell you or anyone else how to feel about a small beating human heart, but it's something I feel strongly about NOW and I won't be quiet about it no matter what percentage of the population agrees with me. Goodnight

Abortion is a choice Rick....your girlfriend made that choice. Regret comes with many decisions, but we don't deny the right to make that decision for another just because some may regret that same decision. Another couple might feel very differently about making that choice.
Back on topic with the ad, the people who are pro-abortion do consider Roe v. Wade a significant vistory and accomplishment that should be celebrated. A safe(relatively), legal way to not have an unwanted child.
People who oppose abortion and see 55 million dead babies, are going to to be upset with a celebration. In their eyes, heartbeats are being snuffed out.
You are never going to get the two to agree. 70% support Roe V. Wade, according to Archer. The numbers I have seen show support for abortion has declined as the American population ages. (Maybe because if you don't have to worry about getting pregnant, you don't care so much about abortion rights.)
