Actually with forfeiture laws, you can fund your police forces by seizing the assets of the bad guys. Texas did that and local police forces did a hard press on drug suspects because they tended to have lots of cash, weapons, cars and property the police could sell. Good luck getting them to respond to crimes that didn't have assets like homeless assaults.

Law enforcement can generate revenue, just ask the Morrison police department.

Ultimately those cases are decided in the courts, which cost money to run. Ain't nothing in this world for free.

There's plenty of stuff you can get for free if you can prove you can't afford it (even if you're here illegally).

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
