You know, I prefer the in your face insults to this mealy mouth insidious poking that you have taken up lately.....at least LJ keeps it real, you just put a thick layer of civility on what is essentially the same posting style.

And if frogger is any indication, things may not have changed all that much.....it's the same ol' same ol', with a veneer of civility.

This is what you get when you try to be civil.

Exactly, all I wanted to do was express my opinion about what I perceived as changes to this board, and you have spent the day pointing out how wrong I am and how right you are. It was my opinion, that's all. It doesn't warrant all this "I am going to prove you wrong" attention. I tried to be civil and respectful in stating my opinion, to little avail. So yeah, when you push hard enough frogger, you get push back.

People have lives and they don't revolve around community forums. Posters come and go all the time. Some of the names on that first list were some of the worst offenders of civility in discussion by the way.

photofish. I am one of those posters who has felt a need to change my nic as LJ suggested, due to the environment here. My previous nic was one of the first to register here and accumulated almost 7000 posts.
I did leave for awhile because I felt I had become part of the problem here and after some soul searching and readjustment resumed my posting here.
Some here have had their good name drug through the mud.
Sc is right, this has been beaten to death. It is SC's site and as such, she is free to do as she pleases with it.

really, does anyone want to protest that Teddy's posts should have been left here in the Courthouse?? does anyone know how many of his posts were moved?)

Exactly.

YES! It's why you don't see any of these posts slamming me or how 285Bound has been run moved or deleted (I dare you to say that about "the other place"!) - constructive criticism is ALWAYS encouraged (<loudly clearing throat> calling me greedy and lazy is not so constructive <hint hint> :) ).

Exactly

See SC.....I really do read all your post....(loudly clearing throat LOL)

I could have sworn that even if you change your nic, your post history follows you. I am familiar with the posters that have accumulated almost 7000 posts and don't recognize your "other nic".

If you could leave for a while, isn't it also posible that the posters that you claim have left could also return?

No, it isn't... But IGNORE will work on you just fine...

And to answer the question, all you have to do is create a new nic that's tied to a new email account...It's not smart enough to tie it to IPAddresses...(And even if it were, there are ways around that too.) And I KNOW there are at least two that are posting right now with different nics than they used to.

But SoulShiner was right... I think things have jumped-the-shark... And I'm truly not interested in froggie's "take" on it.

Oh, and the obligatory: :dislike:

Thank you SC. I think you have done an excellent job, and yes, the subject has been beaten to death. Those who would be moved to soul searching about their demeanor have already done so, some never needed to and the rest are disinclined. However it shakes out, your board is still head and shoulders above the other one. Thank you for hosting us!

Yer not interested in much more than listening to yourself bleat. "IGNORE" all you like, that makes you a coward and a spineless jack wagon. And there's really no others on this board interested in YOUR continuous blah blahing other than yer musty "friends." Definitely not on the top posters list. Go quote Huffington blow hard.

Oh, I'm soooo crushed.... I don't know how I will ever get over it...

:Snooze

Or, you could just ignore my posts... Either way, you have me confused with someone who cares what you think.

Oh, sorry... I think the required response is: "That's offensive and hateful, and I'm offended..." :dislike:

Couple of things that puzzle me......WHY would anyone change their nic? (could NEVER wrap my head around that one). The
IGNORE button is something I NEVER utilize......seems to me it defeats the purpose of understanding/observing human
behavior.

The bolded seems like a non issue.....MANY people have other things to do and lives that lead them AWAY from the
key board. Things happen (AspenValley for instance......are we sure she is even alive?). Seems to me, WHEN there is
a lull in someone's life, they come back for awhile and then others things occur that takes them away for awhile.

SOMETIMES, taking a break (hiatus) from the board is a GOOD THING. It allows you to put things into perspective and
creates a buffer........because,after all, it's just life and life goes on REGARDLESS of your party affiliation. Of course, JMO
