"After a three-year run as a paid contributor to the nation’s highest-rated cable news channel, Sarah Palin and FOX News have cut ties, according to a source close to the former Alaska governor.
“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”
The source declined to say whether Palin would pursue a television contract with another news network, such as CNN."

I personally believe that she is the reason we have President Obama today instead of President McCain. She has the depth of a puddle. We can and must do better at fielding candidates.
The GOP needs to take a seriously hard look at their entire organization/operation. They are so out of touch with the people they want to "represent" that they are clueless. And I'm talking from the county level on up. Park County Republican leadership is a joke -- they do not listen to voters at large but only to their sycophants. And it gets worse the further up you go.

I cannot disagree.
No thread mentioning Governor Palin can be complete without obligatory Governor Moose Meat etc !
You can't win on procedural tricks and consider yourself relevant. We need to be FOR something, not just against everything the Democrats want. We have lost our identity in a welter of controversial issues. We need to get back to being about fiscal responsibility, limiting the federal government to the tasks that benefit the nation as a whole and protecting what we have built.

The main Republican push is FOR fiscal responsibility... less spending, and less taxes to fire up the economy. Unfortunately, they were beat by the Dems because of social issues (war on the rich, Obama's gay marriage "evolution", the supposed war on women, etc.).
When less and less Americans care about, or even understand, the seriousness of our debt and stale economy, we are done. The party that promises the most to the people who don't have enough (or believe they don't have enough) will always win future elections. We will be Greece one day, it's just a matter of time... and there will be nobody there to bail us out.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
The Republicans try to run on fiscal responsibility and the press manages to divert small minds into focusing on a mis-statement. Low information voters being led around by their nose. "What he said about rape clearly disqualifies him even though he has a brilliant economic plan.
